He produces SuitMan Productions and his first original show idea Deaf Comedy Jam was inspired by his own hearing loss and offers a show that unites both the hearing and non-hearing communities. A staple of the Annual Northwest Black Comedy Festival for 2 years. where he was awarded “Best Podcast” of this year. Places like Laugh Comedy Club's Laugh Off, Jai Thai's Comedy Clash & a number of pacific northwest artists know his influences and creativity of production. All of this while being HOH and having had surgery on his left ear to restore about 40-50% of his hearing. SuitMan production is more than an entertainment company. It is a platform to give light to artists who need opportunity in a safe forum. His newest project Beautiful Minds: The Autastic Artists podcast highlights entertainers and artists on the spectrum. Producer As a producer, Suitman hosted a different monthly showcase at Columbia City Theater that inspired diversity in the comedy scene as well as an open mic and his Opencase show offered a showcase oj local talent at locations in the Seattle area. Deaf Comedy Jam, Dark Brew, Mixed N Misidentified, Santa’s Naughty List, Cupid’s Rejects, Holiday Momedy and Give Love Laugh were all performed live. Ballard Brother's, Player's Club Bar, Cafe Red and The Palace Theater were all locations that were hosting SuitMan Productions. Since the Pandemic, SuitMan Productions has expanded their reach with comics from all over the world on their current online shows. RAW Comedy (Ridiculously Amazing Women), Soul Sista Sundays and "Beautiful Minds: The Autastic Artists" Podcast are monthly shows offered highlighting women, women of color and artists on the spectrum. Helen Holden

Helen is a freelance Project Manager for The Comedy Trust’s Feeling Funny project, which uses comedy and humour to support people with lived experience of poor mental health by enabling them to gain confidence and talk about their issues using an alternative and social approach. Helen has managed the adult mental health and wellbeing programmes at the Comedy Trust for over 6 years and she has been involved with delivering 20+ comedy courses, 70 drop-in sessions and over 80 community outreach sessions across the Liverpool City Region. She has seen the power that comedy and laughter can bring to people who are feeling low and isolated in what they are going through and how it can help to boost their mood and destigmatise mental health issues too.

Alongside her Comedy Trust role, Helen also manages an Arts on Prescription service for residents of St.Helens who are experiencing stress, anxiety and/or depression, another project that provides people with non-clinical and social outlet to enhance their wellbeing.

Helen's background is in the arts and she previously worked at National Museums Liverpool for 12 years in education and community engagement focused roles. She has undertaken training in counselling and teaching and is passionate about using creative approaches to develop confidence and increase well-being so that people can find the tools for self-care and recovery, helping them live happier and healthier lives

Esperanza Phoenix is an artist, both performing and visual. Her father was a Native American artist/ actor and allowed her to paint as soon as she could keep the paintbrush out of her mouth. Esperanza spent weekends on visitations traveling the powwow circuit and helping her father sell his art. This was a great opportunity to experience the culture and meet treasured elders in the community. Sadly, her father was also a narcissist and a pedophile. Esperanza's mother was too focused on her career as a teacher to recognize the signs abuse and get help for her daughter. Hi guys I am going to be interviewing two Disabled comedians I will be asking them how they cope with their disability in these crazy times.

 

Victoria Melody is a theatre-maker, anthropologist and comedian. She is a unique storyteller who makes work about Britain's tribes and subcultures. For research she has become a pigeon racer, northern soul dancer, championship dog handler, beauty queen, funeral director, police officer and skipper. She’s an “off – piste comic treat” What’s On Stage and her shows are “fascinating, beautiful and Utterly Human ” Time Out. After being diagnosed as neurodivergent in 2017 she has been collaborating with a neuroscientist to find out what happens in your brain when you tell jokes. Since 2005, David Eagle has been a member of three-time BBC Radio 2

Folk Award winning band The Young'uns , well-known for their comedy,

with the Guardian writing in their 5& review: "a rampant humour which

occasionally makes them appear more like standup comedians,

mercilessly mocking one another and involving the audience at every

turn ..." ""The Young’uns were bravely emotional but also very funny,

thanks to the constant banter from Eagle ..."

 

In 2018, David started performing stand up. He has been crowned New

Comedian Of The Year by Leicester square Theatre and at Bath Comedy

Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival. He has been nominated as Best

Newcomer at the Chortle Awards. He has opened for award winning

comedians Reginald D Hunter, Tom Wrigglesworth, Adam Bloom and

regularly for Boothby Graffoe. He also starred in Tony Law and Phil

Nichol's improvised 2019 Edinburgh Fringe show.

 

David is blind, and his comedy often explores how his disability means

the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and

convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a

spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs,

such as his George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as "a

comic tour de force."
